چکیده

Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic, debilitating inflammatory skin disease. Crohn’s disease (CD) among the most reported comorbid disorders in HS patients. Concurrent and CD are frequently associated with perianal that requires immunosuppressive therapy surgery. We sought to identify unrecognized IBD using commercially available panel of serologic, genetic, markers high specificity sensitivity for (CD+) (IBD-sgi™ Panel, Prometheus Laboratories, San Diego). This test has not been previously evaluated an cohort. An IRB-approved retrospective chart review patients receiving care at Einstein/Montefiore Center (HSC) was conducted between August-December 2021. All participants (n=272) were screened standard IBD-sgi™ panel. Overall, 121 (44.5%) CD+. Comparing CD+ CD- participants, we found no differences regarding age or gender. By contrast, had elevated HS-PGA(3.8±1.2 vs. 2.9±1.2, p<.001) pain scores(6.2±3.2 4.2±3.5, p<.001). Those higher frequency involving groin buttocks (p<.001). Indicators severity positivity included significantly treatment anti-TNF biologics, IV antibiotics, as well intralesional intramuscular corticosteroid injections (p<.002). Moreover, lower hemoglobin (p<.001), leukocytosis (p<.01), increased (erythrocyte sedimentation rate C-reactive protein interleukin-6 (p<.007)). There rates when primarily involved axillae, breast, abdomen, thighs. Our findings unexpectedly revealed 44.5% screening more severe buttocks. The association remains unclear. Further investigation needed.
